Even though it’s surrounded by some of London’s most notable neighbourhoods like Belgravia, Chelsea and Westminster, it has a strong identity of its own. It’s known for its grand garden squares and impressive Regency architecture. The area is separated from Belgravia to the north by Victoria Railway Station, and bounded by the River Thames to the south, Vauxhall Bridge Road to the east and the former Grosvenor Canal to the west.

Pimlico is characterised by its attractive garden squares and prime position on the Thames, with the Riverside Walk Gardens affording pleasant riverside strolls. There are several glorious Royal Parks in close proximity including St James’s Park, Green Park and Victoria Tower Gardens. Across the river is Battersea Park, which makes a fun family day out with its boating lake, zoo, playground, and Go Ape adventure park. Pimlico has a lively food scene encompassing a range of world cuisines and outstanding bars and restaurants. It’s also home to Tate Britain art gallery for a taste of culture and all the varied entertainment on offer in the West End is just a short tube journey away.

Pimlico is plugged directly into the London transport network, making it ideal for getting to anywhere in the city with ease. Pimlico has its own underground station, and the Victoria Line connects to the Circle Line making it your ticket to the whole city. There are also plenty of bus routes that come through the area, including night buses. If you are an individual who prefers to walk or cycle to a destination, they you will enjoy the beautiful broad roads and well-kept pavements, especially besides the River Thames.
