Born in the USVI and raised across the BVI and Boston, Massachusetts, Shawn Eddy’s remarkable career has taken him on a journey from research laboratory to restaurants and upscale nightclubs, from international shipping to real estate investment. After graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst in 1999, Shawn began research at the Charles River Laboratories in Wilmington, Massachusetts. It was at this time that he began acquiring investment properties and his love of real estate was born.

Seeking further education, Shawn moved on to accept the position of Research Associate to the Chairman of Pharmacology at the Yale School of Medicine in New Haven, Connecticut, and continued to expand his residential and commercial real estate portfolio. While he thrived in the fields of science and biology, Shawn soon realized that his true passion was property. He hung up his white coat and turned his full attention to the real estate world as a member of the Gibson Sotheby’s International Realty team. Several years later, Shawn made the decision to return to his native BVI and was soon appointed Vice President of Real Estate at the Autograph Collection’s® Scrub Island Marina and Spa.
